2009 birthday
Hmm.. I thought that I should have a remembrance on my 26th birthday. Thank God I've reached this age in one piece. The whole family dropped by our new house then we went to the agency to inquire about tour packages to SG. Yay! After that we had lunch at Vicenticos. I felt a little light headed. Hmmm.. what's wrong with me? The people who are close to me and who has an idea of what I'm what I'm going through would understand. Good thing I still managed to smile... lolz... Cheers!
to manila once again...
Yesterday, we went to manila to fetch dad at the airport. As usual we had to go through a lot of traffic jams from NLEX to EDSA... hmf... I was not able to sleep for the rest of the time. I could not even put my eyes off the road (don't get me wrong, I'm not the driver, I don't even know how to drive haha) but I just thought it would be nice to be observant (this time!) Before, I'd rather watch tv or spend the whole trip daydreaming *sigh*
We left Cabanatuan City at around 12:30 NN and arrived at the airport at exactly 5:40 PM. Could you imagine! As usual, we have experienced the traffic in EDSA (nothing new). Besides, it was friday and surprise... payday! A lot of people can't wait to splurge their hard earned money at the mall.

LOVE hurts... do you agree?
And holding fast the truth
Don't want to lose what I had as a boy
My heart still has a beat
But love is now a feat
As common as a cold day in L.A.
Sometimes when I'm alone I wonder
Is there a spell that I am under
Keeping me from seeing the real thing
Love hurts
But sometimes it's a good hurt
And it feels like I'm alive
Love sings
When it transcends the bad things
Have a heart and try me
'cause without love I won't survive
I'm fettered and abused
Stand naked and accused
Should I surface, this one-man submarine?
I only want the truth!
So tonight we drink to youth!
I'll never lose what I had as a boy
Sometimes when I'm alone I wonder
Is there a spell that I am under
Keeping me from seeing the real thing?
Love hurts
But sometimes it's a good hurt
And it feels like I'm alive
Love sings
When it transcends the bad things
Have a heart and try me
'cause without love I won't survive
Without love I won't survive
Love hurts
But sometimes it's a good hurt
And it feels like I'm alive
Love sings
When it transcends the bad things
Have a heart and try me
'cause without love I won't survive
Love hurts, ohhh-oh ohh
Love hurts
Without love I won't survive
Love hurts la-la-la-la-la-la oh
Love hurts
Without love I won't survive

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
|
|
The Alchemist |
Dreams, symbols, signs, and adventure follow the reader like echoes of ancient wise voices in "The Alchemist", a novel that combines an atmosphere of Medieval mysticism with the song of the desert. With this symbolic masterpiece Coelho states that we should not avoid our destinies, and urges people to follow their dreams, because to find our "Personal Myth" and our mission on Earth is the way to find "God", meaning happiness, fulfillment, and the ultimate purpose of creation. Coelho also suggests that those who do not have the courage to follow their " Personal Myth", are doomed to a life of emptiness, misery, and unfulfillment. Fear of failure seems to be the greatest obstacle to happiness. As the old crystal-seller tragically confesses: " I am afraid that great disappointment awaits me, and so I prefer to dream". This is where Coelho really captures the drama of man, who sacrifices fulfillment to conformity, who knows he can achieve greatness but denies to do so, and ends up living a life of void. |
